Union Pacific Cancer Cluster The Union Pacific Rail Yard, northeast of Houston is contaminated by a chemical that is linked to a cancer cluster. The chemicals include creosote and dioxin. A study revealed that a significant amount of the toxins were absorbed into the groundwater and soil surrounding the railyard.
